Coffee Beans
The coffee bean is an ingredient that is full of skin favourable properties. It may help reduce the appearance of cellulite on the skin. Coffee beans are a powerhouse of antioxidants that is very helpful for skin and scalp nourishment. It is especially helpful in controlling wrinkles and giving you smooth skin. The caffeine found in coffee beans helps increase blood circulation and contributes to skin rejuvenation. We use coffee in various forms in several of our formulations. We use it in powdered and dried form, make infusions out of it, use it as an exfoliating agent, use it as a natural colouring agent, and use it in its oil form as well. It helps control eczema, acne and scars; and it helps in improving skin brightness and fairness.
Shea Butter
Shea Butter is an excellent moisturiser for the skin. There will be no exaggeration to call it the best skin conditioning agent. Shea butter has linoleic, palmitic, stearic and oleic fatty acids, which balance oils in the skin. Vitamin A, E and F along with antioxidants help in skin growth, whereas the fatty part of the shea butter provides nourishment to the skin and conditions it. Shea butter works like an emollient that helps in soothing and smoothening dry skin. Shea butter is also a humectant and prevents moisture loss. Shea butter is also a ceramide that creates a natural skin barrier. Shea butter boosts collagen production which helps in skin cell regeneration and circulation. Shea butter softens the skin and works on fine lines to give you supple, plump and smooth skin. We use shea butter in many of our cream, lotion and soap formulations to give your skin an incredible feel and striking look.
Rose Water
Besides offering rose water as an independent product, we use rose water in several of our formulations to make them more effective and result-oriented. Rose water has been used for skincare and beauty products for thousands of years. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness, scars, spots and acne on the skin. It has a very cooling and calming effect on the skin, providing instant relief. Rose water is an excellent skin toner with astringent properties that help in cleansing and even-toning the skin. Rose water carries antioxidants and it hydrates the skin to lift it up. Several of our product formulations have rose water as an ingredient which improves their efficacy in the application.
Honey
Honey is a boon from Mother Nature and has been used for skincare since time immemorial. It has antibacterial and antiseptic properties that may really benefit acne-prone skin. It is a natural humectant and helps keep the skin hydrated and moist but not oily and greasy. It is a very gentle exfoliator and a pore cleanser that helps reduce fine lines to restore youthful looks. It helps improve the skin’s appearance and can be used for brightening the skin. Honey may remove dead cells from the skin that clogs the pores and add to skin dullness. Honey has lots of antioxidants and due to its ability to penetrate inside the skin, it provides complete nourishment to the skin so that skin appears glowing and shining. We use honey in many of our formulations including facewashes, facepacks, face cleansers, shampoos and conditioners to give more effective results.
Almond
Almond is a natural ingredient we use in its raw form and by extracting its oil. Well-grounded almonds, almond paste and almond oil are used in our face packs and face cleansers. Almonds can reduce puffiness and be helpful in dark circles. It can reverse sun damage and can help in improving the complexion by a shade or two. It benefits dry skin and can help reduce acne, scars and stretch marks. Almond is rich in vitamin D and vitamin E, which help soothe the skin and give it a rejuvenated look. Since it is hypoallergenic, it is safe to apply it on the skin. This is why many of our formulations have almonds in some form or another. It is a moisture booster and the vitamins and minerals present in almond helps in restoring the outer layer of the skin and preventing water loss. The rich properties of almonds provide all the richness to the skin.
Active Charcoal
Active charcoal is a natural cleanser that draws out pollutants, chemicals, oils, impurities, toxins and other micro-particles from the skin. This way, it cleanses the skin from the inside out. Its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties soothe the skin to make it soft and supple. It is helpful in toning the skin and provides improved texture and appearance of the skin. Its ability to remove dirt from deep pores makes it a favourite deep cleanser for extra clean skin. The activated charcoal’s porous texture has a negative electrical charge that causes it to attract positively charged molecules such as toxins and dirt. Since your body does not absorb activated charcoal, it can carry the toxins attached to its surface out of your body. In a way, activated charcoal traps the chemicals and prevents their absorption which helps in drawing out microparticles. We use it in our active charcoal formulations of facepacks, facewashes and face cleansers to give your skin a glowing look.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice carries anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. It naturally contains antioxidants like vitamin C that help prevent skin damage and premature ageing. Its astringent properties help decrease oils in the skin pores. It helps control skin patches and blemishes. It helps in toning the skin and tightening the skin pores. It clears clogged pores and helps in removing dirt and oil etc. from the skin. Lemon juice is full of acids which are helpful for the skin in many ways. The citric acid in lemon juice helps brighten the skin to give it a radiant look. It has alpha-hydroxy acid which is a common ingredient in skincare formulations. We use fresh lemon juice in some of our face-wash, face-cleanser and face-pack formulations.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a humectant meaning that it helps prevent moisture loss from the skin and helps keep the skin hydrated by absorbing the moisture from the ambience. Glycerin is considered to be absolutely safe for the skin and that is why it is one of the most sought-after ingredients by any cosmetologist. We use it in most of our formulations, be it facewashes, facepacks, creams, shampoos and many other formulations. Glycerin has anti-bacterial and exfoliating properties that help remove dead skin cells, dirt and impurities. Glycerin also has many antioxidants that help prevent redness and delay anti-ageing activities. Glycerin helps in solving many problems related to skin and hence is an excellent ingredient for most of the skin-care formulations
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea Tree Essential Oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties which help control acne, itching, eczema and other scars. The oil may also show favourable results in skin lightening and skin brightening. It is good to diminish wrinkles and to restore a youthful glow. Tea Tree Oil is equally effective on dry skin as well as oily skin. It works as a cleanser for clogged pores and inflamed skin. It controls sebum production in your skin which results in fewer breakouts. It helps in removing dirt, excess oils and eliminates other skin impurities. It can remove dandruff and other dead skin cells from the scalp. Overall it has a soothing and calming effect on the skin. You will find it in several of our formulations including some handmade soap.
Rhassoul Clay
Rhassoul clay or Moroccan Clay or Ghassoul Clay is a lave clay that is a natural cleanser. It deeply cleans the skin, removes blackheads, and tightens the pores. This way, it allows your pores to breathe. It has sebum-controlling minerals that help people with oily skin because it absorbs surface oil. This enables you to keep those unwanted zits and pimples away from your skin. The mineral composition of Rhassoul clay helps to reduce skin dryness and improve skin tone. This clay is good because it suits all skin types, including sensitive and mature skin. The minerals in the clay effectively remove bacteria and toxins from the skin. We have a specially formulated facepack from Rhassoul clay for oil balance.
Clove Oil
Clove oil's antibacterial and antiseptic properties help kill acne-causing bacteria and keep breakouts at bay. Clove oil contains a compound called eugenol that helps treat acne by reducing inflammation and redness. Clove oil has powerful anti-ageing properties also. It works in reducing skin sagging and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also fades dark spots and blemishes left behind by acne and pimples. Its mild exfoliating properties help remove dead skin cells and ensure even skin tone. Clove relieves itching and promotes healing. You will find it in some of our cream, facewash and facepack formulations.
Aloevera Extract
Aloevera extract is rich in antioxidants and minerals that boost the skin rejuvenation process. It provides a protective layer to the skin and helps in retaining moisture. Its moisturizing effects may help alleviate dry and itchy skin associated with eczema. It may reverse the process of sunburn and tanning. Aloevera extract can stimulate fibroblast, which produces collagen and elastin fibres making the skin more elastic and less wrinkled. Aloevera is a boon from Mother Nature in every sense. You may find aloevera extract in many of our products.
